I'm getting old

Sooo I might be going to Vegas
President’s Day Weekend. My friend will be there the week before for work so I might just meet for the weekend.  I’m a little scared because I’ve been saving to go to Italy for a few weeks in the summer with my mom and I don’t want to be completely broke.  But I never travel…I have got to live a little!

Jumping on the “Goal Not Resolution” Bandwagon.  Not that I ever made resolutions before but that’s ok. 1.  Watch less tv.  Which clearly is not being met right now as I am watching (my first ever) episode of the Kardashians.  Only a few more hours of vacation left so I’m letting it slide. 2.  Go grocery shopping/cook/eat vegetables.  I kind of gave up on cooking in...

Suggestions?
I have 5 kids that are in my 2 small reading groups that I see everyday.  I wanted to get them a book for the holidays (and for working so hard!)  They are all now on a level K (up from I at the beginning of the year!)  Any suggestions?  Four of them are boys and one is a girl.  I was thinking Nate the Great for the boys but I’m not sure about my girl.

What do you think of these?
I have no decoration on my walls.  I’m going on my third year in this apartment.  I just moved into the bigger room because my sister moved out so maybe now is a good time to redecorate. I know nothing about art!  I’ve been looking on Etsy a lot.  What do you think of these? They are from the Etsy shop Winterberry Cottage.

Day 1
Well today started day 1 of the second year of my school.  (We were a new charter school last year.) And of course we were in meetings from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.  Very typical of my principal to schedule a first day like that. I hate apartment hunting!
Looking for apartments in Manhattan is terrible! Of course my life would be much easier if I looked in Brooklyn.  Not only would it be cheaper but it would cut down on 20 minutes of my 40 minute commute (and maybe I wouldn’t have to leave at 5:50 everyday!)….but I don’t want to move to Brooklyn!! Anyone need an apartment?  You can be my roomate!
