2012 Goals
Jumping on the “Goal Not Resolution” Bandwagon. Not that I ever made resolutions before but that’s ok.
1. Watch less tv. Which clearly is not being met right now as I am watching (my first ever) episode of the Kardashians. Only a few more hours of vacation left so I’m letting it slide.
2. Go grocery shopping/cook/eat vegetables. I kind of gave up on cooking in October - December because I’ve been working so much. I think my new strategy is to order 2 ready made meals from Fresh Direct and then some regular groceries so I’m not constantly going to Seamless Web and spending $15 every night on food.
3. Be active. Which I think means join a gym and actually go 3 times a week. Maybe taking classes would be easier. Clearly the 5 stories I walk everyday to get into my apartment is not doing enough.
4. Be more proactive in my job. Look for professional development that will make me a better teacher! Volunteer whenever I can! Procrastinate less. (I can’t say I’m going to stop altogether…this is who I’ve been my entire life!)
5. STOP COMPLAINING! Seriously. I am extremely negative about my job. It really is not that bad. I am with wonderful children and supportive coworkers. I can do it!
6. Stop gossiping. This kind of bit me in the ass a few weeks ago. Lesson learned! Plus I’m almost 27 years old. I should know better.
7. Post more. I read everyone’s posts everyday. I love the community that has been created especially with the educators. I want to join in more!
8. Go to church at least once a month. I’m a lapsed Catholic.
Since I never was one for resolutions I don’t think a big long list would be very wise. Some of these already seem pretty lofty to me but maybe since they’re here you all can check up on me!
